Have you tried rebooting the phone? Another thing to try is turning off the phone, removing the SIM card, waiting a few minutes, then re-install the SIM card, turn the phone back on, and wait a few minutes for the phone to re-establish a network connection.
My suggestion as well: if what tiki suggested doesn't work then I would take the phone to your nearest Verizon Corporate location and have them replace the card). Your replacement card should be free have them do some test calls while your in the store to make sure the new if you need one is working properly.. Good luck too ya.. b33
