I have to stop texting and sometimes close it out and go to the main screen so that when the text comes through I actually get the text along with the notification. It's very annoying to know you're getting a text but the text isn't showing up and you have to ask the person to resend their text. It only happens if I'm typing at the the same time. Any ideas on how to fix this or what could be causing it?

I am having that happen also on Verizon Message+. When that happens I can no longer type a message and have to close the app and reopen it. Also when I get a MMS it just shows a download button but never lets me download it.

We want Verizon Message+ to be hopping for you. When did this start happening for you? Are you having issues with any other internet applications or browsing? Could you try with the Wi-Fi turned off? What phone model do you have?

Thank you so much for your response and help.
This started happening as soon as I upgraded to Lollipop which was on July
24, 2015. I tried with he Wi-Fi turned off and it happens then too.
Also this morning I just had the text open and was waiting for a reply and
it dinged but the text did t come through. I was not typing a response or
anything and it still happened. I had to get the person to resend the text.
This happened 3 times this morning.
I don't have any other problems with internet browsing or other apps.
Can you help? It's kind of frustrating and embarrassing to have to keep
asking someone to resend texts.

I am having the exact same problem with my phone. I also will erase a text message and about 30 minutes to an hour later my phone shows notifications that I have all these new messages and all the messages I erased reappear. This i extremely annoying and am not very happy with this phone so far. Anyone have any advice? Please advise. Thank You

I'm sorry you're having issues with your text messaging Biglarry. I know its difficult to have issues with messaging but we are here to help. Are you using the stock messaging application on your phone or a 3rd party messaging app?

Katie001,
Yikes, we don't want to see you having any issues with your phone. Is your device also a Droid Turbo? If not, what model device do you have? When did your issue begin?

Katie001, I appreciate you giving me that information. By any chance have you tried reseting the actual messaging app that you are using? If not, here is a link to instructions on how to do that: http://vz.to/1MkLM6M

I am using the stock messaging app that came on the phone and I also use Verizon messaging plus. It is getting worse. It happens using both apps and it's really annoying. All day long I'm erasing messages that keep coming back that were erased earlier. Now I'm even getting text threads from the week I first got this phone. I'm really losing my patience. My email messages are the same way.

Biglarry,
I can understand this issue causing frustration. We're happy to further assist today. Can you clarify when exactly this began occurring? Have you added anything new to the device recently? I'd recommend testing out the device for improvements in safe mode; http://vz.to/1wbP6nD.
