Verizon stopped upgrading my phone when Android got to 6. Some of the apps I need run under Android 7 or 8 only. There are both Android 7 and 8 builds that are designed to run on a Turbo Droid such as mine, but my phone is "locked" and I cannot install them.
In talking to the dolts at Verizon, they come up with garbage such as "jailbreak" when all I'm trying to do is gain root access to the phone I bought and paid for so that I can upgrade it to a later Android version, something Verison is not willing to do.
Anyone out there have any suggestions?

What you want to do can't be discussed on the Verizon Wireless Community forum. Rooting equals jailbreaking for the Android operating system.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
