I was just wondering if there was any way to get rid of the garbage preloaded apps such as NFL and Blockbuster (didn't they go out of business?)

>Post edited to comply with VZW ToS. Discussions on rooting is not allowed on this forum< Unless you're really, REALLY wanting to get rid of the apps, its going to be more trouble than what its worth.

BB didn't go out of business. They did what Netflix is doing.

Sorry, they went bankrupt in 2010 and were bought by another company. Still it is something I want to get rid of.

They are still blockbuster and they follow the Netflix model. Bankrupt or not they are still around.

Yea, but if I am not going to use their service, why do I have to have it?

Because Motorola has a deal with BB to include it. The Galaxy Nexus has their own version and they are in competition.

I guess I should have researched more before I buy my next phone. I love Verizon's service coverage and reliability but Motorola has left me feeling burned.

If you want as much bloat gone you have to go Nexus. Also don't buy anything with bloat on them. Make sure your friends do the same. Hurting sales will change the practice.

Actually, from what I understand, with the ICS updated, you will be able to disable or delete bloatware. Check out this link:

the answer is YES, but Verizon doesn't want you to do that so they won't allow us to talk about it here, you will have to visit some other Android specific websites with forums in order to find out exactly how.....should be easy to find
