Does Verizon TEC (extended warranty and Asurion) cover a Moto Maker Moto-x? Motorola's Extended Warranty for the Moto-x looks like a pretty good deal, but does not appear to cover loss or theft. Those buying a custom Moto Maker Moto-x, what warranty and insurance are you getting?

That is an intriguing question. I hope you get a clear answer.
Unfortunately I don't have any clue.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I think insurance is a rip off for phones personally. Only way it has any type of potential value is if you do break your phones often. in a 24 month period of time at 8 dollars a month that 192 dollars. If you file a claim its going to cost you 100 dollars (refurbished phone). If my phone ever broke i would probably just get a replacement of ebay or craislist. Also phone manufacture are making even full retail prices of lower model phones more reasonable to purchase out of pocket if for some reason you wanted a brand new phone. Also moto x is a great phone!

You are covered but there is a catch. You will only get a generic Black or white. I just recently broke mine and had to go through asurion and that is what I was told by Verizon and Asurion Management.
