Moto X Camera App Crashes When Taking Movies

Recently, the camera app has started crashing whenever I try to take a movie with my Moto X.  Has anyone else been having this problem?

I'm also having this problem AND a coworker is having the same issue.  I called motorola and they suggested starting in safe mode to determine if a 3rd party app was effecting the camera, but it crashed in safe mode too. 

Anyone have an answer to this?

I have this problem too.  I tried uninstalling all the third party software and at first it seemed like that did the trick but then it started crashing again and I have no idea what to do about it.

Mine just inexplicably started working again. I suspect a background OS patch...

SoundCloud app was the culprit for me.  Seems to work okay again if I leave that app off my phone.
