I bought a Moto Z Droid in December '16, and the screen would occasionally go black and I could reboot the phone and wake it up. Now it will not wake up at all. I can call it from another phone and it will ring and I can feel button response on the screen, but the screen will not activate.
Mine does the same thing but freezes/crashes only when charging.
