Moto Z3 Continuous shut down when battery life if 40% or less. No damage to my phone

Continuous shut down for no reason after battery life is 40% or less. Why is this  happening? My wife has the same phone but she is not having any issues with her phone.

Chillin6, random shutdowns will certainly not make phone use easy. Let's get to the bottom of what is causing this. When did this first begin? Do you recall adding any recent apps, games or software to the device? Have you noticed that this happens when you are using any specific app or function on the phone?
