Mine has been doing the same thing.
Phone is not damaged.
Battery is not depleted (over 50% charge when this occurs).
Will randomly turn itself off. I am getting very frustrated with this and ran the check.

Same here. Would like some help. Very annoying. Phone shuts down at random. Take a picture, off it goes. Hit search, off it goes. Says full battery, then says empty!!!. Battery also draining faster than usual but still has good charge when it goes off.

chickenray,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Moto Z2 Force. I rely on my device heavily too and I want to help put an end to these issues. Let's gather some more information about what's going on here. Can you tell me when these issues started? Has your phone been exposed to any liquid or physical damage? Is your phone's software updated? Here's how to check and perform a software update if it's available http://spr.ly/6606EI81ihttp://spr.ly/6606EI81i

I have a Turbo but, it says no problems with my Battery except a few apps are monitoring location and that could affect battery life. Battery life isn't the problem, it's shutting down with battery available.
Disappointing that other Droid devices have similar problem. Wonder if Pixels have the same issue.

We certainly don't want you to feel that way about your phone, Murphy8260. Help is here. Please describe the specific issues that you are having so we can best help. Are you having issues with random shut offs? If so, what troubleshooting have you done already?

My phone has also been doing this foronths! Sometimes it won't power back on until plugged into a computer ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I don't pay good money to a phone company for this to happen. It seems no one has an answer as well... What else is there for me to do about it? Go to Motorola and ask for refund?

I have went through all of these steps and my phone still randomly shuts off as described by many of the other posts in this thread. This issue started after the latest software update and was not an issue at all before hand for me.

I think that's when mine started too, at first the phone wouldn't turn back on at all until plugging into computer,my boyfriend would do something that magically worked for a few more days/weeks.
Now it shuts off anywhere from 10-50 times a day, and won't power on until connected to charger. I have 2 more months to pay for this phone and I can wait to get a new one. I have LOVED Motorola until this started happening.

Hello Stang84g,
I would be concerned too if I were having any trouble with my device. What exactly are you doing on the phone when this happens? How often does this occur in a day? Do you have any applications that are waiting to be updated?

There does not seem to be a correlation with what I am doing with the phone. It shuts off during phone calls, when trying to answer phone calls, while viewing emails, browsing the web, or even looking at photos, or trying to take photos. It happens in normal mode and safe mode. All aps have been updated and I have checked for updates on the system software. This happens anywhere from 5-20 times per day. The phone shows 0% battery right after the phone shuts off and cannot be restarted until it is plugged in to a charger. Once the charger is plugged in, the batter immediately shows the same % of batter that was there when it shut down (which can be as high as 80-90% and anything down to 20%). I have tried the suggested battery reset posted on motorola's website and it did not correct the problem either. I am using the charger and cord that came with the phone.

We appreciate all of your efforts and the steps you have taken so far, Stang84g. We did check the device for any known issues and didn't find any at this time. Let's continue to dig into this. How long did you test the phone in safe mode? How soon did the issue occur while in safe mode? Did you complete a factory reset and use the phone without restoring any content to see if you still had the issue?

The issue happened within 10-15 minutes in safe mode and happened multiple times in safe mode. I have not done a factory reset because I do not want to loose all of my files and photos as well as all of the time it would take to restore the phone aps.

I'm having the same issue. I've tried all of the suggestions mentioned in this forum, and am experiencing shutdowns at at high as 87% battery remaining. None of which seem to be even remotely addressing the real issue that clearly seems like a hardware issue with the battery no longer being able to hold an adequate charge so I will be waiting for correspondence regarding how this issue will be resolved.
