What is wrong with you? Are you seriously supporting Verizon and arguing with this guy? People don't have to use their smart phone to make voice calls in the 14 day period and yes they should assume it works. They are paying astonomicle rates and sometimes Verizon is the only carrier that offers service. Get over yourself dude. Vzw needs to get their crap together with these slow updates. End of story

You are correct, I can't imagine any reason to check out the phone BEFORE the return period expires. I would have preferred to return it if it didn't work, that's just me, though.

Well I'm stuck with Verizon for now but this will definitely be my last device with them. Coming from a Galaxy Nexus I gave them another shot because I "assumed" things would be different with Google and Motorola in the picture. Obviously that's not the case. I will gladly take my money to another carrier that actually cares about the customer experience.
