Motorola Edge not receiving verification codes

Hello,

We just got a new phone, Motorola Edge, 2 days ago, and already I want to return it to Verizon and go back to my Samsung G10! My current headache with ME is that I cannot obtain any verification codes from any site I do business with. I can send out texts no problem but this is a problem since I do everything online.

It looks like this is not a unique issue but carriers have yet to come up with an umbrella solution so we don't have to go out of our way here and ask for support. I read another post where it was a faulty SIM card. I have to wait until tomorrow when I'm able to finally return to the store and see if that is the issue. But it's brand new, so that would be troubling if it is. Then, there was another customer that stated he spent over 2 hours with Verizon's customer service/support only to not get a solution with them. He was able to do something with the PUSH notifications setting by enabling what he said to do, but I got nowhere with that as well.

If I can't find a solution then this phone will be replaced with a Samsung. But first, I am asking the community for help. Any suggestions ?

So it turns out that it takes three to four days before everything gets completely transferred from one phone to another. When we got to the store to show the issue, the verification codes popped up no problem. So, if you're going through the same issue with a NEW phone, wait at least three to four days before going to the carriers. Mines took  four days. Hope this helps.
