I have had my Moto Z force for about 2 years now. Absolutley love the phone. I have recently bought a new car with the bluetooth feature for a hands free safe driving, but can not get the bluetooth to connect to anything. Neither my home stereo or car. I have tried to call Verizon and Motorola for help and nothing works. I have been on both community forums and it pretty much stems from the latest software updates. I have tried everything
possible to fix this. Of course I have just paid off the phone in full, it works perfect except the bluetooth. I am very disapointed in this. I looked for another phone to purchase but I am not willing to pay $600-$800 for another phone. Why can't this be fixed? On the Motorola website, almost everyone is having the same issue and the support staff there acts like this is a separate issue for each person. They are going to lose business if this can not get fixed. Any ideas?

I know the importance on getting this feature corrected, Dexter06, especially for hands free mode. When you attempt to connect your BlueTooth to either your home stereo or your car. Do they appear in your BlueTooth connection settings but do not want to pair and connect? Or, do they not show up at all?

Dexter06, we're sorry to hear that you're having these issues in regard to your Bluetooth. Have your car company about this matter? Also, have you attempted connecting to any other device that allows Bluetooth?

Just got this MotoZ2 in March and no doubt I recv'd a refurbished (although I paid $720 for a NEW ONE) but now it seems it just has major issues... I've always had MOTOROLA phone and never had any issues?

Yes the system works perfectly in the car. They tried other phones and my tablet also connected properly with no issues. It's the phone and what ever the latest update was it's not letting the phone recognize anything under the Bluetooth. Everyone on the Motorola website community is complaining about this Bluetooth issue, not just me and this issue is not being resolved..

Dexter06, I appreciate your time in working with us. We want to be as helpful as possible in getting your phone to connect to your car Bluetooth. What make and model car do you have? What is the version of the application used for your car to connect the Bluetooth. Since you mentioned this started after a recent update; can you also please confirm the current software version on your Moto Z Force: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-205295/?

My vehicle is a 2018 Subaru Forester and The build # is OCLS27.76-69-6
Last updated to Android 8.0.0 on July 27 2018
Not sure about the version of the application used for the car. I know that it did accept my tablet blue tooth and when I bought the vehicle they tried to connect my phone blue tooth and did not work. They did a soft reset and also renamed my phone and did not work. The sales guy did try his phone and the blue tooth worked in my vehicle.
Under the status section the blue tooth address is:
68:c4:4d:ec:46:c1

Thank you for the details, Dexter06. It does sound like an issue with the device, which could be related to the most recent software update. In that case, we would need to wait for the next update for any fixes. Have you completed a factory reset on the device as a troubleshooting step?

Hi Dexter06
Was the phone upgraded to Android Oreo 8.0? I have had the same issues after upgrading to this OS. Also, I have no Wifi capability whatsoever. I have contacted Verizon, but they are of no help. It's everybody else's fault. My phone is like yours, nearly 2 years old, and functioned perfectly before the upgrade. It appears that the upgrade has fried the hardware on the phone.

I have had the same issue . I have had phone almost two years and my Bluetooth has never EVER worked, I have even taken to the Verizon store two times, and both time a tech worked on it, and was not able to get it to connect either. Now since this new update, and battery life the way it is, the phone is about useless. And nothing nor anybody is doing anything to resolve the problem. They just keep blaming it on something else. I see from all these threads i am not the only one with the same problems.

I have tried all the troubleshooting below nothing has helped me like I said I went to two different Verizon places at two different reps worked on the phone could not do anything with it. they could not understand the problem nor do they have any suggestions except of course to get another phone. I have reset it reboot it went back to factory settings nothing works. It's just sad because I've been a lawyer loyal customer to Verizon for 20 some years now.

The lengths that you’ve gone to are appreciated, CINWIL73. If a factory data reset has been performed and the trouble persists, then a replacement is clearly needed. When did you purchase your Moto Z Force? The reason for asking is that this is covered by the manufacturer’s one year warranty. If it’s been greater than a year do you subscribe to an extended warranty? Is the device in good condition with not breaks?

Still NO response to this thread 4 weeks ago.
See Verizon does not care about customer services or losing long term customers. I think I am going to go pay some visits to other cell company's today. And trust me I will put this all over social media that i can. They asked for my contact info as well, and none yet as responded back to me. However int he mean time, i do know if i have a ER and can NOT use my phone, and they know about this issue, I will be taking some legal actions. They know this problem is not a fluke their are way to many people complaining@@. I owe less than 80.00$ on this phone, however i have to pay this phone off, and then get another phone - so i can pay 30-45$ a month for another phone for two years ???? Just how crazy does that sound ???? can you afford that every month for a lift time basically ?? I know I can NOT. I can NOT believe Verizon does not have better customer support. 20 years service with you guys.
SMH !
