I have the Droid Turbo 2. From a few music apps, I can play from my internal storage. Yet can not play from my SD card? I do not want to buy another phone because of this. Also, when connecting my phone to my laptop, to transfer music to it, I see the phone, yet it is not recognized.

Have you pulled down the notification shade and changed the USB mode to File Transfer?

What app are you using to play music from the SD Card? What file extensions are these files? I have a Droid Turbo 2 and using File Manager app, I cannot open the .wav files on the SD card, but using Easy Voice Recorder app they open and play fine.

Used Double Twist, then Rocket Player. Music extensions are .WMA and .MP3. Both work from internal storage, or as drive XTnnn.
