I have a Verizon pay-as-you-go plan (monthly). I just got a Moto G, which I believe is technologically capable of being used overseas. Am I correct? Will my phone/service work in Europe? What settings, etc. do I need to change or activate before I travel (in the fall)?

Does your Moto G phone have a SIM card slot?

Thanks, but I found out that my model of the Moto G uses CDMA technology. I know that in Europe they use CSM. There are "global" models of this phone, but that's not what I have. So, I presume that I am not able to use this phone from Europe. I'm not sure about the SIM card. I'll check, for what it's worth. Thanks for the response.

It is likely the Moto G isn't compatible or global ready for use on the GSM networks in Europe.
