How do I turn off the PIN function? I no longer want to use it.

Are you asking about the Security Pin ? if so you can choose None in the Security settings)   Here's how.. Go to settings > Security tap on it and if you don't want to mess with the Unlock just tap None hit the home button and when your screen times out and then when you press the power button to turn the screen back on you won't have to Unlock the phone.. or worry about a Pin...
