My wife also has verizon, and her phone works fine at our house, but my phone cannot make or receive calls. When I went to the Verizon store, my phone suddenly worked. After confirming that there was nothing wrong with my phone, they did a soft reset just in case. When I returned home, my phone still cannot make or receive calls. I have 4G-LTE connectivity with full bars. When I try to make a call, this drops to 1x. The Verizon guys at the store said it sounded like I have a local outage, but my wife's phone works fine at the house, and she's on the same network.
Also, the phone does not ring; incoming calls go to voice mail after a few rings. I can access my voicemail just fine.
I have a Motrola Droid Turbo.
I have also already tried removing and replacing the sim card.
Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have the Advanced Calling/HD Voice feature on your line? Does your wife have it on her line? Trying turning it either off or on and see if that helps.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Good suggestions from Ann.
Just to clarify, the phone works fine everywhere except the house?

JAMWOR57,
Let's make sure we get your phone working everywhere. Have you ever been able to make/receive phone calls while at home? What device does your wife have? Do you have wifi enabled on your device? If so, please disable and attempt to make/receive calls and provide the results.

I am having this exact same problem with my Samsung S9+. I did not have problems making or receiving calls while at home previously. My son is on my plan so I dialed out on his phone while at home and there were no problems. If I walk across the street, I can make a phone call. As soon as I am at home, bam. No more calling abilities. I have tried turning it off, cleaning off unnecesary apps and checking for system updates. Nothing works.

We understand just how important it is to stay connected, especially while at your home location, beth15. We are here to help. Do you have Wi-Fi calling enabled on your Samsung S9+? Do you have high-speed Wi-Fi at your home location?

I am also having this problem. It just started a few months ago. I am usually able to make calls, but I have had several times when others tried to call me and it just sent them straight to voicemail. My phone never rang and I only knew they had called when the voicemail notification popped up, or they texted me and asked why I wasn't answering...

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention ammartin4224. We never like to hear that you are having trouble with your service but we are here to help. Do you recall anything happening with your phone around the time the problem began? Have there been any recent changes to your phone such as a software update? Do you notice any patterns on when you are having problems with the calls not coming through?

Did this person problem ever get resolved. Mine started doing same thing only not at home, it started a couple months ago. As a truck driver, when I come to our Taylor, Michigan Terminal on Racho Road here in Taylor, I can't make or receive calls, yet other drivers who have Verizon can. If I drive up the road like one mile or two it will work fine. What's with that? I've tried shutting off phone, restarting it, turn WiFi off and on again, etc, even calling Verizon, still same problem. It worked fine like 3 months ago.

Good afternoon, Est1958. It's important to have reliable service wherever you go, so I understand your concern when you can't place calls. I'm here to help. What happens when you try placing a call? What other services are impacted (i.e. text messages or data)? What is the nearest intersection to the troubled location?

I can only make WiFi call on my phone when I’m at the house. If I go outdoors to walk in my immediate community my phone is absolutely useless. This is a real problem. I can only WiFi call so if there is an outage (and I live where outages happen, despite living not too far from the VP of the United States) and I’m at home I am completely without service and cannot call out for help should we need it. This is also the case for my spouse and our guests.

If ur phone can have a dual sim . Call the maker of ur particular phone. If u find that ur dual sim is activated the cell number that added there self to UR PHONE without saying anything is creepy and interferes and control all the problems with receiving call or texted or the sending of these. Can alter ur doings AND THIS PERSON YES PERSON! could be on a completely different carrier than u.

The bad thing is is that while ur not getting ur calls per day u really are but the other device runs the show. When u call ur carrier they will defensively and relentlessly say there isn’t another device on ur account . Cause there not on ur account they added their number to ur sin in setting under sim pin settings.
