Droid Maxx, replacement phone for a phone with a damaged screen. I've spent hours on the phone with customer service and no solution. Have wiped the cache and done a factory reset. No change. Still cannot make or receive calls and get the "mobile network not available" message. But texting and 4G data work perfectly. Suspect that it's a problem with the "phone" app (the dialer) as it is half the size as the same app on an identical Droid Maxx. Is there a way to reinstall the phone app? Or perhaps force a reload of the last system update?

MavrickProductions,
No bueno, I am sorry to hear your phone isn't working as it should be. Let's get these calls back in business, what's your zip code? Was the phone replaced by us or Asurion? How long ago was it replaced?

kortneyramey,
I am sorry to hear you're not able to access your cloud content. Let's get you viewing this. Have you tried on other computers? If not, please do so. Try other web browsers. Please make sure that you have cleaned your cache and cookies. Keep us posted.

Zip code 43204. It was a replacement from a 3rd party, because the
original was not covered under a device insurance plan (and it would not
have been covered anyway as it was screen damage and Asurion does not
cover screen damage (learned that long ago)).
Very frustrated. The phone seems to work (sometimes) if it's at home. We
have a network extender because of dropped call problems from when we had
3g devices. But leave the house and it's all "mobile network not
available."
Looking at the device, and considering that it's registering on the
network and allowing texts (standard and MMS) and 4g data to work
regardless of location, I really think the problem is in the
voice-dialer-phone app itself. Is there a way to force a reinstall of the
OTA system updates? Or just to reinstall the phone app??

Thanks for sharing those details! I do want to make sure you're able to connect to all the networks necessary to use your phone the way you want. Have you been able to try using these features in Safe Mode instead? http://vz.to/1C3yt5a

Have tried safe mode. Still have full 4g data, still able to text, but
phone calls throw a "mobile network not available" message.
It's starting to become a problem as we can't use the phone as a phone.
Is there a way to reinstall the "dialer" or "phone" app????

Have you replaced the SIM card yet?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

MavrickProductions,
Not being able to make calls has got to be driving you nuts! I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this, but we'll help make sure you have a working phone. Unfortunately, if it is the software that is the issue we do not have any Software Repair programs we support to help with this. I know the phone was replaced through a third party, but have you checked to see what their warranty process is? Maybe they could replace the phone for you.
