I have been having the same problem and then some on my Droid Maxx 2 since February 13, 2018 update. My husband and I converse at least three times a day since forever. He has an iPhone. His calls are logged as remote, I can hear him but he doesn't hear me, my auto rotate doesn't work like it use to. My icon tray drops down during calls, settings opens up, his calls are randomly dropped. We are on the same Verizon account and network. This needs to be addressed. I have been in advance call setting and disabled, turned off bluetooth and other posed troubleshooting. Need to fire recent programmer for this [removed] update or at least give users option to roll back this update.
