Remote Control with the Xoom

Has anyone had the occasion to use, or at least, try one of the Remote Desktop apps from the market, such as Remote Desktop Client? I know that there are free versions out there, but I'm willing to pay for an app since I'm controlling a 50-box PA system in an arena and it needs to work without glitches.

 If this works effectively, it would certainly push me over the edge to get the WiFi model, when it becomes available.
