Screen has pink hue

Seems like after the last update, the normally white areas of my screen have gotten a very noticeable pink hue.  Some areas more than others.  I don't think it's burn in.  It is the entire screen.

Could it have shifted to a red tone for night viewing to reduce eye strain? It would be a setting in the display section.

Maybe??? How do I check? I don't see anything in the display settings for

that.

Using my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as a guide.....with the Internet browser opened.....tap on the SETTINGS icon and see if there is anything listed that involves "Night Mode". I know that the phone in question is a Motorola, but, who knows?  Smiley Happy

It might be under the Moto app. Moto Display - moto z2 play

We are sorry to read that the screen on your device has a pink hue, LISLEW7. Where any changes made to the device prior to this issue occurring? Does the device have any physical or liquid damage?

No damage, just normal wear and tear. If I remember correctly, it appeared

immediately after the last update. Or at least thats when I noticed it. I

waited for several weeks thinking there would be a fix coming. And when

there wasn't, I figured it was with my phone.

Thank you for your patience. We want to see this resolved. Have you attempted to put your device in Safe Mode? If so, did you notice any changes?

You can get to safe mode by restarting your device or while it is turned off. Find out how by following these links, https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-212976/, and https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-212977/. Are you still seeing the pink hue with your screen?

We're disappointed to learn there has been no change, LISLEW7. Has there been any damage to the phone? What is the make and model of your phone? We would like to check for any known issues after the update.

I showed one of my tech friends yesterday. He seems to think it's an

extreme case of burn in......

Thank you, LISLEW7. I did check the device for any known issues with the screen and did not find any. On any device the screen may show a burned image if your device is on for longer than two hours at a time, your display timeout is long, screen brightness is set to 100%, and there is excessive screen access daily. This unfortunately, is not covered through your device warranty. We would recommend looking into an insurance replacement, http://spr.ly/6584D2pSy;

Thanks for your help. Honestly, I pay more per month on my cell than most

do for a car payment, and have been with Verizon for almost 20 years.....

If I have to pay for a new phone, I'll be switching carriers. Especially

since Verizon doesn't have service at my residence, which allows me to

leave without penalty.

We don't want to see you go, LISLEW7. We completely understand the need to have a properly working phone. We do want to help in any way we can.

However, it may be best to visit one of our corporate store locations, so we can take a look at your phone for you. If you want to have us take a look at your phone here is a link to show you where the closest location is https://www.verizonwireless.com/stores/?intcmp=INT-SITESEARCH-REDIRECT-STORE

Also, have you test your phone with different display settings like changing Color Mode and Adaptive brightness. These features can be viewed when you go to Settings, and tap Display.
