I'm looking to get the most up-to-date software information for my specific phone: Motorola Edge 2022. I have some concerns about whether or not my device has been tampered with or modified in some way. Such as something like third-party APKs downloaded, being infected with malware or a virus, a tracker or hacker interfering with data reporting, etc.
Some of the irregularities I am seeing or noticing:
- My phone shows one thing physically but what is reported to data reporting entities (such as Google) is completely different.
- Some of the basic software on my phone seems duplicated multiple times (like having 5 "Phone" apps but no build numbers are the same)
- The build numbers for some of my apps look weird as a while and not as they should (seemingly too long or short or incorrect)
- All of my phone software, apps, and OS mechanics say they are up-to-date with the latest versions. However, some of those "latest version" dates range back in 2022. Or they will even send me a notification and tell me I have an update to do.
- Apps such as Google Maps, Life360, and even FamilyLink will stop updating location very frequently. Almost every 3-5 minutes it will produce a gap of time between updating to a live location anywhere from 3 minutes to 39 minutes.
- Options that aren't supposed to be available or visible to my account or on my device aren't blocked or unavailable to me
So, overall I'm just trying to get the most recent generic build and software information for my device. Things that you would find under "General Phone Information" or "System Information" or "About This Phone". As well as any logical idea or guess as to what is going on with my phone, if anything.
