My Xoom has stopped charging. I have tried resetting it and I even bought a dock. I have tried multiple outlets. Nothing is working. Pretty soon it will be a brick. Anyone have any ideas?
I understand the need to review the basics, but hopefully I have them covered. I left it on the dock overnight and it did not charge. I have had it for about a week and seen it charge before, so I know this is not normal behavior. I am using the power cord, not the USB, the white light does not come on, and when I check the status, it reads "Not Charging."
Also, when I say I reset it, first I did the power button/volume up button reset and then went in to the settings menu and performed the complete reset which wiped my data.
At this point, I am believing it must be a hardware issue, but if anyone can think of something I have not tried, please feel free to offer ideas.
Thanks,
Scott
When it was on the dock was it powered on (screen off, but power on) or powered off.
The white light only comes on when the device is completely powered off (this is contrary to the documentation from what I udnerstand).
Other things to check is to try a different outlet and to try charging without the dock. Try plugging the charger in with the tablet on and the screen on, see if the indicator changes at all. Try plugging the charger in with the tablet off. See if the white light comes on.

Thanks, Jason. I figured it out. It was a bad power cable.
