I recently starting using a MotoX at work. We also have tethering ability, and have heard that some phones drop the connection when receiving a phone call. Is this an issue with the MotoX?
You should be able to keep both a data and voice connection within a 4G LTE network signal. The phone has to be configured with certain hardware to handle voice and data on the 3G EDVO network. With very few exceptions, devices on the Verizon Wireless network don't handle 3G and voice simultaneously.
