Transferring files to new phone

My Moto Z3 is dying of old age.  I have purchased a refurb Moto G5s as a temp replacement.  I am having trouble transferring files from the old one to the new.  I am using Content Transfer, which says it is a Verizon transfer app.  Any ideas?

I have never had any luck with any of those "copy your data" apps or services, and they do more harm than good in my experience helping people fix issues afterward. For me, I backup everything important to my Google Drive account and then download to the new phone as necessary. That's just my plan and my opinions. Hopefully you can find something that works for you that doesn't cause issues with the new phone.

I transfer files from one phone to another via Bluetooth.  I also have a USB stick for my phone I can put files on to move to another phone ans sometime I use Google drive as sggested.
