Since I PURCHASED this RAZR I have received repeated updates that make owning this thing a <Word filter avoidance> !!!!

As soon as I get comfortable with it along comes an "update" that makes me want to through this thing right through Verizon's window.

I DON"T have time to re-learn everything freakin NEW screen and where <Word filter avoidance> is.  Do you ????

Gosh are you kidding?? I agree there are a few things a bit different with ICS, but I LOVE the phone (maxx) ... much better and less limiting than the IPhone. With VZW coverage, it's really tops. (Just don't get me going on the new plan).

Nope, not even.

I immigrated from WINMO 6.5 phone (Samsung Omnia II) and I have not been happier. Don't get me wrong, the WIN phone worked well and I keep it for emergencies but Verizon stopped supporting the phone and OS so I switched over to Android.

I can't say i will never get an iphone but as long as android is around i will probably not get an iphone. Android has some issues but the grass is NOT always greener on the other side.  The iphone has issues too!

Hmmmm...... well not a single user that agrees with me.  Maybe something is wrong with my phone ?  Going to the Verizon Store I guess.

Thank you for all you replies.

Rick Updates are just what part of having a Android Phone i Had a Droid X and a Droid Incredible for 2 years prior to Getting my First Maxx. And Both of them got Updated More than Once My X got updated with 4 Updates and my Inc with 3 updates So that's just something i got use to and if you ask any of the Veteran Android users they 'll will probably say the Same thing and as for the iPhone they get updates as well maybe not as Much as the Android Devices but they still Do. And by the Way i learning this new OS too.!  might not be Top choice but it's better than Liver & Onions.. b33

The other thing to remember is that the updates should be optional to do, they should prompt you to install. You always have the option to not do the install. Yes, ICS was a big change over GB on the RAZR, but the other update was a small fix and did not change the basic OS and how things worked.

Just which updates are you talking about? Are these operating system updates, or app updates?

If you are complaining about app updates, you can turn off notifications for these updates and set them for manual updating. Then you will no longer get any of these updates unless you go in and check for them and manually start the download. To save on data, you can also have these update only while on wi-fi.

IMHO ANY Droid beats an iPhone. I've had some serious difficulties with the Razr and now the Maxx but nothing that would make me, even for a nano-second, consider an iPhone. As others have stated, there have only been two updates and only I.C.S. was an OS level update. Take a deep breath, it'll get better.
