Voicemails lost

Couple weeks ago I lost some important voicemails that had been on my phone(s) for a few years.

I had 11 messages from family that I didnt want to delete, last week i went to check my voicemails (i had 19 messages the night before) and I only had 6 voicemails that were all recent and business related, the ones that I had for years were gone. I called verizon tech and they said once you delete they are gone, also my verizon rep said the same thing. I tried telling them multiple times i didnt delete any messages, the rep said they only stay for 30 days. Thats strange cause ive had the last call from my father on my phones since 2017 but its gone now.

Is there a way to retrieve them from this cloud thing or can i somehow use one of my older phones to retrieve them?

Last month my voicemails in my phone doubled, as in I had 2 of every voicemail, wasnt a big deal I figured it would fix itself.  Not sure it is related to the issue but some of them are still doubled up

I'm so sorry to hear you lost some precious memories. Voicemails are not saved on device or Clouds. If they have been deleted they are not retrievable. -Joe

Once again I did NOT delete them, they were just gone. 10 or 11 voicemails just gone.

Why did my Rep tell me they are stored on the cloud then?

Also one of the techs said she was looking in the cloud storage.

So if what you say is true i should be able to retrieve them from an older phone i have

We will be sending a Private Note to gather more details. While it is true that deleted voicemails cannot be retrieved, you may have them somewhere else depending on the make.

I have had the same problem. I had 5-6 saved voicemails from my mother (who has subsequently passed away). When I upgraded my phone, those saved voicemails were not transferred. I contacted VZW immediately and was told that it was a "glitch"in their network and the voicemails would be restored. They weren't. I have contacted VZW multiple times, had multiple tickets placed, and each time the representative tells me they can see the voicemails and they can be restored, and they haven't been. I have been a vzw customer for 20+ years and am incredibly disappointed with how this has been addressed. Have others had this problem and how were you able to get it resolved?

I have this problem as well.  I discovered last week that Verizon deleted voicemails (all importantโ€”some for legal reasons, others personal) without my knowledge or authorization.

Calls to Customer Service and Tech Support revealed serious problems with Verizon's system. The automated help line said I do not have Voice Mail at all. (Fact: I've had it for years, use it regularly, and my Verizon online account correctly shows it "Active.")

Another rep's system indicated that the last time I logged in to retrieve messages was Mayโ€”effectively, it doesn't see 10 monthsof logins!

No representative has offered a concrete way to retrieve these. I asked about recovery, and one said "That's time consuming."  Translation: "Recovery is technically difficult, and your messagesโ€”and you as a customerโ€” are not worth Verizon's time or effort."

I've been a loyal Verizon customer for decades, but this makes one seriously reconsider.
