This only happens on our work wifi. I talked to our tech team and they have no restrictions on wifi calling. Our building is completely metal. Everyone doesn't have issues with their phones. Only the people who have Verizon. There is a tower within walking distance of our office. What can we do to improve our service? I have to have a working phone for my job. I really like Verizon, I don't want to have to change to another provider.

@janhworth We're sorry to hear that you're having problems with the Wi-Fi Calling in your work building. It sounds like there might be an issue due to the tower that's near the building. Your phone will first try to use cellular service instead of Wi-Fi Calling, and there might be just enough signal for it to prefer cellular service, but that's causing you issues due to the building being a metal building. We're going to send you a Private Note so we can help.

What if you put your phone in 'Airplane Mode' to turn off cell service. Then turn on 'WiFi' so your phone ONLY uses WiFi calling. My Android phone does this.

this is the only solution that works, but we should not have to turn on airplane mode to force it to use wifi. additional step that is frustrating.
