Knowing what you can do with an old cell phone you no longer need is important, imdontoo. While Ann154 had some great ideas of what to do with your old phone we do offer a device trade-in program where you can turn your old phone into a bill credit. Find more details here: http://spr.ly/65838umKV

Otherwise we always accept donations of old cell phones with Hopeline. These phones go to help victims of domestic violence. You can learn more here: http://spr.ly/65848umKn

You can cancel the line by calling customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from your phone or you can visit a corporate store.

For the phone itself, backup your pictures and other personal information to your computer and factory reset the device. You can then sell it through Swappa or keep it in a drawer for a backup phone in case your current phone breaks.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Unfortunately I have heard that the trade in program offers less money than what the individual would get selling it themselves and there are too many horror stories of phones getting lost in processing or they were valued for less than the original appraisal.
