Why do my texts to the UK keep failing?

I have a Motorola Droid Turbo 2. I live in the U.S. and have a U.S. phone #.

I have a friend in the U.K. who has a U.K. phone number.

She regularly sends me texts, but when I reply (I tap reply so it goes to the number it came from), she isn't receiving them.

I am not successful sending her a text directly to her phone number.

I know the number works, as it's the one I call, and the one she calls and texts from.

On my end, after I hit send, I'll see "sent", "recieved", "failed" (no delivered) with a triangle and an exclamation point in it.

I have no trouble making voice calls to this number, and she has no trouble making voice calls to me from the number or sending texts from the same number. The problem is on my end.

She has a Samsung Galaxy S6.

I have a Motorola Droid 2

I'd love to know why my texts aren't going through.

You will want to ensure you have a International From The U.S Plan ($5 Value Plan, Call The World) to avoid a large bill. There may be a feature missing from your line (when I try to call INTL for example it tells me I am not allowed to make INTL calls because I have it blocked on purpose). Contact the Global Support (Inside U.S) to check these out - 800-711-8300

Have you been able to send them a text in the past? Are you sending a plain text or a picture message? Are you using the standard messaging app that came on your phone or a 3rd party messaging app?

I'm using Messaging Plus which came with my phone, sending plain text. We just started texting a few months ago, and none of my texts have gone through.
