can't open e-mail

I have been having the same problem for several months.  I receive e-mail on my cellphone.  I try to open it and after a few minutes a message comes up that says:  connection could not be established.  Please try again later.

Doesn't matter what time of the day it is or if anything else is opened.  Basically, not possible to read e-mail on this phone 9 times out of 10.

What is the make and model phone and email app you're using? When the problem occurs do other data services like internet browsing work?

motorola droid z updated to system update android 8.0.0   Nothing else seems to be affected.  Last nite I did have a new experience.  I actually opened an e-mail and while I was trying to read it there was a little flash (kinda seemed that to me) and then the e-mail body went away and the same explanation came up.

I can understand your concern with not being able to read emails from your phone after a major software update. We will get this issue fixed, rest assured. Please remove your email account by following these steps https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-205247/

and re-add it back into the phone https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-205155/
