I just got a droid maxx today and cannot for the life of me figure out how to set a downloaded mp3 as a ringtone. I've tried everything I found via google but to no evail. Any help guys?!

Use a File Manager app such as ES File Explorer File Manager - Android Apps on Google Play, or hook up the phone via USB to your computer.  Move or copy the mp3 file to the Ringtones folder (you'll see it in the File Explorer app).  Once it's there it will show up on the Ringtones list.
