how do I sort text messages

how do I sort text messages, they are sorted in random order right now and I can't get the latest message at the top???

SMS messages/texts are listed according to chronological order.  Are the messages really close together, a few seconds, like less than a minute?  Or from an iPhone user?

Try Settings > Date & time > Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone.

the messages are days apart and in a completly random order,  I tried going to the factory reset and it still shows in this random order.  Is there anyway to force it to sort?

Did you try what I suggested above?

Some people have had success with "SMS Time Fix" from the Google App Store.

I tried both of these and it still is not working correctly.

At this point you may want to save your Text messages with something like SMS Backup & Restore, clear all data in Text Messaging, reboot your phone, and start all over.  Although the Factory Reset that you did previously should have cleared all text messages.

Settings > Apps > All > Text Messaging > Clear Data
