While my information on which lollipop version you had was wrong, my statement still stands true. You can NOT revert back to a different OS, not even by doing what you are suggesting.

You can't. You just have to wait for v5.1 and hope it solves some of your issues OR you can troubleshoot your issues either by researching or trying to get help from the forum.

The Turbo received v5.1 (it skipped 5.0).

Then that's a big "uh oh." Time to troubleshoot then.

I just got the 5.1 update too and I hate it. It's ugly and counter-intuitive. The hate the way you have to swipe the center of the lock screen its much harder to do one handed. I also hate the recently used apps look, it is so much harder to see what the apps are at a glance. On top of that they screw up Chrome by integrating it into the recently used apps. When I want to switch tabs I don't want to see every other app I have in the background. It makes no sense. I want KitKat back.

You can change back to tabs by opening Chrome, then tapping Menu (the three dots in the upper right-hand corner), then Settings, then change Merge Tabs and Apps to Off.

Thanks, that helps for one thing. I already disabled the lock screen because I kept opening contacts by mistake. I would really like if I could get my recent apps to show like my friends HTC where all the recent apps appear as small windows and you can select exactly what you want with out having to scroll.

Is it possible to do a factory reset and then restore from my backup?
Or will the backup pull the fact it has lollipop?

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the camera after this update? I can't get mine to open. It will tell me i should restart phone. Then it might open but it's stuck on the selfie mode and won't look out, doesn't give me the switch view button. I tried downloading two other cameras and they won't work either. Someone suggested doing a factory reset and that didn't work either. I'm so frustrated

Mawill, I don't want you to be frustrated with the device. I really want to make sure we get your camera back up and running with no issues. I would like to have you try to run the device through the Software Repair Assistant: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/droid-turbo-update/ Once that is completed please re-try your camera. Keep us psoted.

Since the update I've started getting a message after every phone call that says mobile data not available. I never received this message before lollipop.

technozombie,
We always want your devices running smoothly. Is this happening on every call you make &/or receive? Does it happen everywhere? How long until your mobile data comes back?

Yes it does happen every call. Before the update I could, for example, look up something on eBay while I was on a call. It doesn't take very long to get data back.

technozombie,
Thanks for that inforamtion. It helps. Does anything change if you turn off Advanced Calling, power cycle the device, and turn back on? Also, if you check your My Verizon account online is your line showing the Advanced Calling feature on it?

OK it started working after I enabled HD calling on on my account. Which is weird because it was working before. Now if only I could change all the crap I hate about 5.1 things would be alright.

There are so many people that did not know what they were getting into on Android Turbo Droid v5.1 update. Some very basics changed and options got turned on that they do not know how to use. Just wait to install this if this is a phone and number you depend. Working that you know how to use trumps new every time. All of these issues are
Android 5 issues not Motorola issues. All this same stuff happened when Android 4 came out. Bugs and not knowing how
to change to the new Android. Happens on every manufacturers Android phone.
Let the dust settle and do some online reading before you upgrade. Near impossible to switch back to the old v4.4.4
Know how to use at least the basic functions in Android 5.1 before you upgrade. And a lot of the bugs and specifics
before you upgrade.
