Since the update the circle widget does not refresh after I have read my text messages. It will keep reappearing in the circles widgets as if it is still new. Can anyone help me with this?

I'm sure this is a lot frustrating for your phone to display you have unread messages volleygirl33! The great news is there is a fix! You can actually update to Verizon Messages 4.2.2, (which you can find in the Play Store), and this app will correct this update your "read" status.

This did not work.  I downloaded Verizon messages 5.0.2.  I could not find Verizon Messages 4.2.2

Thanks for trying that and keeping us posted!

Run the phone in safe mode http://vz.to/1nBbtlO and see if this resolves the issue. It may be a 3rd party app causing the problem. If it doesn't happen again while in safe mode, you need to uninstall all 3rd party apps and add them back one at a time to determine which one is causing the issue.
