This entire registration process has been a nightmare for me. Even when I did get my password the crap did not work, and now I have to (really)!!!! re- register plus wait for snail mail again. For the money spent I do not understand why there is no text app on this device of the future, a simple solution software developers---add the SMS application people. Smiley Happy

Ironically, the iPad2 will probably have the same problem since it's not SMS capable either.

You technically have an ipad 2 right now lol. After the service update , your xoom will do more than the ipad2. Flash player and micro sd card. (does the ipad2 have sd support?) And skyfire is NOT the same as having real flash player on the device.

Rather than add SMS, they need to drop the "phone" system altogether - LTE devices should all transparently run SMS, Phone, and etc services over Internet Protocol. The age of separate services is hopefully coming to an end.

But note, that the iPad 2, is not an LTE device. The Xoom is/will be.
