Can I use the Verizon Cloud as a regular hard drive?

I've spent quite some time trying to figure out the usage of the VZ cloud. So far the progress is minimal. I can not find a usable application to this service. I have a VZ Fios plan and no VZ mobile service

  1. On the Windows machine I can not find a way to see the Verizon Cloud service other than in the File Explorer. No command line access, no drive mapping capabilities, no external application access, etc.
  2. The VZ Cloud app is capable of backing up only the content of C:\Users\XXXX folder, and no way to access any other location of the computer.
  3.  No access to file management via the Web site. The
    Add-ons & apps
Verizon Cloud option is not available under the Account menu
    .

Can you please tell me if there is a way to backup files to the cloud besides the Windows app?

What is even more surprising is that all files I copy directly to the Verizon Cloud folder in the Windows Explorer silently disappear after I restart my PC,
