Certain devices like Ring or Google Home disconnecting etc

So I have the top speed package from Verizon internet. It’s all that we have. We have tons of devices from WiFi cameras to game consoles to google homes to tablets/phones etc.

Every single day, my ring cameras go offline and my google home goes offline. Occasionally my phone will be disconnected as well. The only way to fix this, is I have to either reboot my router from the Fios app or unplug the router and plug it back in. After that, everything will connect and work fine for a while, then the next morning, it happens all over again. Once I do the reboot, it’s fine. But it happens every day.

anyone have any insight on this? Or even maybe some settings in the router to fix this? I’ve turned off the SON setting because it said it would move devices seamlessly from the 2.4 to the 5Ghz network and I know ring only likes to stay connected to one. But with that on or off, the problem still persists. I’ve even separated the two WiFi bands and named them two separate things and that doesn’t do anything either. Same issue.

please help

Thanks

Disabling SON is dated advice.

You need to enable the IoT SSID and connect all IoT devices to that.

The main network may use WPA3 if you have enabled that, and virtually no IoT device supports this more secure way of encryption.
