Fios Mobile App for iPhone

The remote disappeared from the App. I have closed and reopened the App. I also have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times. I have also uninstalled the App, performed a hard restart on my phone and the reinstalled the App. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

There's more than one app for the iPhone.  You might try the My FiOS app instead of FiOS Mobile.

I have the latest My FiOS app installed on my iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2, and the remote control function is still there.
