Fios TV one remote pairing issues

A few days ago, 3 of my 4 total Tv one voice remotes (1 STB, 3 mini's) stopped working and needed to be repaired. I thought this may have occurred due to a software update, but one remote was fine (paired with a mini) and required no action. I was successful in pairing one TV that has a mini but have been unsuccessful with the TV with the STB and on additional TV with a mini.  If I use a remote that is 'working' successfully on the other 2 TV's, it does pair, so it makes me believe I have a hardware issue with 2 remotes - that were working just perfectly fine a couple days prior. Just doesn't make sense to me. I've tried all suggestions posted including unplugging the STB, recycled the STB thru the Verizon app, changed batteries, etc - no luck. I have attempted the pair more times than I can count over the last few days and on rare occasion it tells me it's paired and the setup is complete for tv/power/volume (can't recall the exact message) and the remote will work for a moment or two and then just stop and then I get the screen that says - ' looks like you have a new remote'.  Both remotes do attempt to pair, the messages cycle in the top corner of the screen and they do both 'pair' but then ultimately end up saying 'Setup Failed'.  Thoughts or suggestions? thanks in advance!

The only thing I can think of is you have to unplug any active boxes while you pair a remote. Pair one box and remote at a time, then unplug that box and plug in pair the next. Continue until all boxes and remotes are paired. If that doesn't work, I see new replacement remotes in your future......

thanks for the suggestion, I tried with no luck and what an awful process - LOL. One of the 2 remotes is sorta working, most functions but no volume, which I can live with, the other remote won't work on any of the 4 TV's so I'll cave and buy one hoping that resolves the issue. One thing to note, when I attempted to pair one of the non-working remotes on a different TV, after multiple attempts there was a message in the top right corner that said 'upgrading remote' and it had a percentage bar. It didn't build very far and then it said upgrade failed. This happened only one time, it never appeared again even thought I attempted the pair after that multiple times.  I couldn't find any info about remotes needing an upgrade, have any info about that...is there a way to initiate an upgrade? thanks
