Has anyone been able to use the Fios TV IOs app with a different router like Google Wifi?

I have both Fios Internet and TV and have seen that many get Google Wifi working fine, including on-demand and the guide on the STB's, but has anyone been able to keep the functionality of the Fios Mobile App where you can access your DVR from your IOs devices?  I use that quite a bit and don't want to invest in Google Wifi if I can't.  Thanks!

I use an Actiontec WCB3000N with a Ubiquiti router and the Guide/On demand and the FiOS apps work fine. 

Just keep in mind the Google router only has 1 LAN port so you will need a switch if you are going to hardwire anything else beside the MoCA adapter.
