Redeeming Verizon Gift Card Error

I received a $100 gift card via email for upgrading to Fios 1 Gbps a few months ago, and I’ve never been able to redeem it.  I always get the error: {"STATUS":"ERROR", "DETAILS":"missing vz_jwt"}

I’ve tried different browsers, the phone app, and having it resubmitted via the chat support.
