I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !
A lot of us are Old and we love to watch the weather channel 24/7.
We only use the internet to see our grandchildren.
We don't have fancy schmantzy phones.
We also love WeatherChannel Music.
Don't really want to get a Disc and thought you were more reliable than cox

I want the Weather Channel back! Not happy with the disappearance of extended local weather from channel 49, either. Accuweather channel just tells me what's going on in Houston, Phoenix etc. I live in RI!
Yes, bring back TWC and Weather Scan. I watched a few minutes of Accuweather, and was extremely disappointed in the sound quality and thier coverage. Whoever made this decision should be reprimanded or let go. If TWC is not brought back to my FIOS line-up, I will seek another provider when my contract ends. VERY BAD DECISION ON YOUR PART, VERIZON, TO ASSUME TO KNOW WHAT YOUR VIEWERS WANT TO WATCH.
I also recently renewed my contract. I have an SD box that was used just for THe Weather Channel in the morning, rarely used for anything else. Now there is no Weather Channel and Accuweather does not work on SD boxes. No sound and truncated picture. Will be returning my now useless SD box.
Accuweather is a farce, bring back TWC.

It is despicable that without notice I was confronted with AccuWeather this morning instead of The Weather Channel AMHQ.
AccuWeather is totally unacceptable for keeping ahead of the storm and keeping the public informed about weather conditions that can affect the very lives of people that depend on The Weather Channel.
The Weather Channel is the top in the industry for accurate and dependable weather information and was one of the reasons I chose Fios.
I have tried to call and make register an official complaint but your phones are probably overloaded with angry customers trying to get in touch with someone at Verizon.
There are way too many other programs that could be cut, after all how many news channels, cooking channels, shopping channels, etcetera do we need? With these types of channels customers have a choice but when it comes to weather there is only 1 – The Weather Channel.
My Phone, Internet and TV will go to one of your competitor’s if The Weather Channel is not returned to channel 119 and 619 before I make the switch.

Today, i found out that the weather channel has been replaced by accu weather. I turned the channel on to find a horrible sounding channel and it was not clear at all. I am very disappointed . I have been a viewer of the weather channel for years and I am passionate about knowing about the weather and related topics. It is more than a forecast of the weather. I watch the other shows and enjoy the variety that is presented. The weather channel needs to return---it was there lasst night and gone today. How spiteful of Verizon to take away a popular channel. I need weather for my area not richmond or DC. Fios this action is uncalled for. Please bring back the weather channel and Jim Cantore and friends.
I am completely fed up with the removal of the Weather Channel from my FIOS line-up. I plan to switch to another provider if the Weather Channel is not brought back to FIOS. Accuweather is NO substitute !
The Weather Channel has been and is the only Weather reporting that millions of Americans trust and it is not acceptable that Verizon FIOS snuck this change in witout notice. I am extremely dissappoined in Verizon.
When I wake up in the AM the first thing I do is switch on TWC on 49 to check out how to dress, whether to water the garden, and sometimes even how soon I need to leave the house to get where I'm going. TWC is part of my life. I watch the programming on TWC 119 also, even taping some of it on my DVR. TWC is a big reason why I still have cable TV. BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL. I HATE ACCUWEATHER. It is a lame subsitute for TWC, If Verizon is cutting corners, then cut somewhere else!!! I can tell you for a certainty that if TWC is still missing when my contract is up I will be gone.

Maybe you ought to take QVC Channel off that would make the ladies happy would it not!There are so many useless channels you could have taken off.But the most valuable one you axed!!I have been I long time customer of verizon and I would like it not to stop but that is up to corporate verizon.God knows your pockets are already full of dough!!!Can not wait to pay my bill and negotiate a new contract with man we got some things to talk about!

Let me surmise AccuWeather for you,
1: AccuWeather is a pre-taped recording that runs and then starts over again.
2: NO and I MEAN NO LIVE WEATHER UPDATES.
3: NO live reporting on sever storms currently affecting people.
4: NO real time reporting of where the storms are or next affected area.
5: NO severity of storms or live damage reports.
6: NO educational shows. And when we need kids to be interested in the sciences you pull it! Shame on you!
I am totally shocked at not only the way you treated TWC while in negotiations, but by your lack of consideration to your customers. I received the email at like 1:19am EST, I immediately turned to TWC and was glad to see it still there. Figured it was a spam email or something like that. HA, the joke was on me, because later it was gone.
Oh and my "Non HD" TV in the Kitchen with just one of those little black boxes that has no guide or anything, well
AccuWeather ch116 has no sound & does not fit on the screen...way to go Verizon.

Yes, BOB I can get my weather through many different means, but when I can sit in front of my TV and see live reporting of what's actually happening it's different, end of story!

Why do I pay so much for service , to have one of the few channels that I use be taken away? I don't need all of the religous programming stations, the foreign language stations, and most of the crap stations that Verizon supplies.....Verizon, you really need to get in touch with what your customers want and need....I plan on dropping you as soon as my ripoff plan is up

Quite upset that the Weather Channel was dropped from my service. The subsitute is not as professional as the Weather Channel. It is a very poor substitute. Please bring back the Weather Channel.
