I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !

Comcast definitly has the Weather Channel. Verizon better get their act together or they will lose customers! Poor decision on their part, some of us want to watch intelligent TV.

Verizon FIOS has sunk to a new low. I don't watch the Weather Channel all of the time, but one of my favorite shows is on this channel, and I enjoy others periodically as well. The weather information is comprehensive when I want it, and don't always want to be checking my phone to get this information. This will affect my decision on which service provider I will be continuing service with. BTW, Accuweather is a signficantly inferior channel...

Amazing...FIOS treating me like a child! We know the internet is where people get the weather...Who are you FIOS to treat me like that? I DONT look at the internet at my weather.
You dont want to PAY money for the Weather Channel..,one of my favorites. I have started talking to my friends now to start being vocal about your "channel choices".
Did you even ask me to do a survery? Do you want my feedback? Or do you want to just decide for us what you are going to change?
I am appalled you have deleted one of my faviorite channels. We are going to fight this.
Fred

Hey Fred, I am with you. I truly hope Verizon is regretting this decision. It was underhanded. There was no scroll announcing their decision. Just PUFF here today gone tomorrow. No respect for the customers. After Jim Cantore did his thunder snow thing.....did they think the customers would be happy? TWC will always be a part of our snow days......with Comcast.

I received a call from Verizon corporate HQ, in response to my letter. I was told that verizon's decision is final. My complaint is registered but will not have an impact. I was told to call 1-800-verizon to cancel service.
She may me feel like Verizon did not care about my enjoying TWC and was not worried about me canceling my package that costs $300/ month.

This is despicable. There is no comparison between TWC and Vacu-Weather. FIOS is pushing the limits of its subsribers with this - and without any notifcation aside from the mind-numbing corporate language. We have used Verizon for years going back to the old days. Between internet, TV, land line and three cell phones, we pay Verizon an average of $400.00 per month. It's time to start looking elsewhere. If they can take away from us, we can walk away from them.

We are FED UP WITH VERIZON and so sorry we are not finished with our contract. We Will definitely cancel when the contract is up. WE WANT THE WEATHER CHANNEL BACK!!! It was one of the very few stations we watched.
It is a pain going to the internet to find out the weather. Being elderly, not being able to afford fancy gadgets like smart phones, laptops, etc. We have to go to our desktop. Verizon is telling us we are worthless and do not matter if we do not have fancy equipment to automatically get the weather. With the unpredictable weather that we have, high winds, tornado warnings, etc, we absolutely NEED THE WEATHER CHANNEL. ACCUWEATHER IS WORTHLESS AND CHEAP TO US!!!! We will definitely recommend to anyone we see that they not get tricked into getting Verizon Fios. They have slowed down our computer speed also and put phoney charges on our bills for 3 months in the past. They are not trustworthy at all.

Not only is it hard to find this blog, it's hard to post once you do. I had to logon to my account, then my Verizon page kept loading. I'd click back to the blog, then the page would load again. Took about 5 tries before I could get to the post page. Verizon obviously doesn't want anyone to be able to complain.
TWC and Weatherscan were very helpful for us, esp. Weatherscan for quick checks of the live radar. If Verizon doesn't bring them back, we're changing to Cox, which still has them both. If Verizon loses enough customers, maybe they'll reconsider how they treat us. They'll lose far more money than if they had just kept TWC and Weatherscan.

The decision to drop The weather Channel was a very poor one. Not only is the weather more interesting but the channel is educational. There are so many excellent shows available.

Please do what you can do to restore the Weather Channel. It has been a part of my viewing life for many years. I feel I have lost a good friend. Your substitute is quite inferior and gives me nothing I want. At a minimum, let the viewers know if a renegotiated contract is not possible, please allow me to watch it for a fee. I will not watch the substiitute. Thanks

I want a weather channel that gives me local weather when I click on the station, I dont want to watch the weather for 50 other states before I get to see NJ weather. What you are providing to us is terrible.
I want NJ weather not Texas and I very sure Texas does not want NJ.
Why doesnt Verizon care what their customers want. You want our money but you just keep taking channels and services away.
I'm really sick of Verizon and their inability to satisfy their customers and their absolutely horrible customer service. Give me back the old telephone company who cared about their customers.

Accuwx is awful. TWC has excellent coverage during severe wx. Do not think Fios will ever bring back TWC. Sad...

I couldn`t agree more! What Einstein in the channel selection meeting decided to cancel one of the most useful stations Fios carried?? They rape me for $200/month to bring hundreds of useless channels into my house, but the one really useful station gets the ax!! Their replacements are a joke! Does anybody even know of a way to get local radar in motion now? Weather Bug is a far cry from Weather Scan and Accu Weather doesn`t even give me my local weather. Even after sitting through endless commercials. BRING BACK WEATHER CHANNEL and WEATHER SCAN!!!
