I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !
I'm very unhappy TWC removed.
As with many other comments I want TWC returned to my channel lineup. I switched over from Cox knowing that TWC was part of the package. That's what I paid for and that's what I expect to receive on my service. The new accuwether does not have any of TWC's wide variety of content or near the amount of storm coverage. The Weatherscan was also removed from the lineup. I frequently watched it for quick updates on the local radar. The replacement "weatherbug widget" does not work. I am very unhappy with this change and will switch back to Cox Cable if you dont go back to the channels I signed up for.
BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL NOW. IT IS ONE OF THE ONLY REASONS WHY I HAVE TV AT ALL. YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE SPOKEN! DO THE RIGHT THING AND BRING IT BACK!!

Accuweather is terrible. They are reading off a promptor and drone about the weather. There is no analysis, education component, or programming like on the weather channel. I rely on the weather channel exclusively to plan my day . With all the crazy weather we have been experiencing, the weather channel is essential to keep us safe. I want the weather channel back!! Nothing compares to the programming they supply to Verizon customers. Verizon customers deserve the best programming possible based on the money we spend. If verizon wants to be the best they need to provide the best programs .I want the WEATHER CHANNEL back asap!!
I WANT THE WEATHER CHANNEL BACK!!!!. Accuweather is an absolute JOKE!! The other option offered is the Weather Widget which is more than useless. all it does is tell me about the current weather. I can get the same info by looking out my window.
This is the second time Verizon has stopped airing one of the FEW stations I watch. Can't think why we should have to pay for channels we never watch!! Perhaps we should all contact our Congress person and complain about the outrageous practices of our cable providers
When channels are removed from the line-up subscribers should be given a discount. They certainly charge enough.

I have been sitting in front of accuweather for 40 minutes now waiting for the local weather, I have seen cities all across the US but not the Boston area, oops it just popped up and I missed it, it is only there for about 20 seconds and I looked up from my screen and missed it. I like to hear and see the weather not just read it.
Bring back the Weather Channel, it was not just the weather but the local feeds during blizzards and major storms also the extra content like Prospectors.
Please bring back The Weather Channel as Accuweather is inadequate. The key feature of having verbal, local weather every 10 minutes is sorely missed. We have given up trying to figure out timing for a local forecast and don't have time to sit and watch TV just to get it. While we don't miss the reality programming consuming more of TWC's programming, we knew there'd be a local forecast in there if needed. Please work out a deal with TWC
They should bring the weather channel back I used it for all the winter storms this year.
Ditto, we were watching a show on TWC when it went off the air!!!! Come on Verizon, get back into negotiations with TWC. You and I both know customers accessing the weather via an app isn't why they were dropped. As a stock owner and a customer with 14 months left on my agreement I am disappointed.
First of all, I can't believe that you (Verizon) gave your customers practically no warning at all! By the time I received your notice that you were canceling The Weather Channel, it was already off the air! Then you replace it with AccuWeather....which stinks! It's just a continuous loop of the same information over and over again. How freakin'
B-O-R-I-N-G can you get! It's veritibly useless as an information outlet regarding weather in your local area or anywhere else.
Secondly, I switched to Verizon from DirecTV because they, too, in their infinite wisdom, dropped The Weather Channel!!!
I had been a DirecTV customer for over 8 years, but their decision to drop The Weather Channel, made me drop them. Then, of course, after 3 months, they came to their senses (having lost lots of customers) brought The Weather Channel back, which was too late to regain those lost customers back (including me).
Once again, I am in the position of my current carrier (Verizon) doing the same stupid thing...droppiing The Weather Channel and replacing it with a completely useless and boring alternative...AccuWeather!! Hopefully, Verizon will come to their senses (or having lost customers because of their greed and NOT CARING ABOUT WHAT THEIR CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY WANT!)..will BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL!!!!

Enough already its has been three weeks now !!! When are you bringing back The Weather Channel ? I signed up a contract for another two years with Verizon to have The Weather Channel and WeatherScan as part of the package channel lineup. You have misrepresented me and all of your other customers. Comcast and Charter Communications will be contacted shortly. Another angry customer !!! Get your act together and renegotiate with The Weather Channel !!!

Accu Weather is crap. I really can't believe the rationale they have given us. It's a way to save pennies. The Weather Channel is a safety tool during severe weather. I'll change too when I get the chance. I do have a high speed option in my town.

It i one thing if Verizon losses customers due to pricing and it will be another if you lose customers because accuweather does not imform them (us) of an impending life threatening storm.

I'm currently working on canceling my Verizon Fios plan too because of the Weather Channel. In February, I renewed with Verizon for 2-years and then a month later they take away one of my favorite channels and say I have to pay to get out of the contract. If not now in two years I will gladly cancel Verizon.
you guys need to go back to the table, renegotiate, and GET THE WEATHER CHANNEL BACK!! Accuweather doesn't cut it. Nice website - I look at it a lot - tv channel - no good. there's only one weather channel and I need it back. My two primary channels are weather channel and CNN. I look to the weather channel every morning to help me decide how to dress for my day, and for long term plans in days ahead. I want my Local on the 8's!
I feel like I'm paying a high price for this service, and do NOT watch so many channels - SPORTS - please, take them away! I do not watch any sporting events but feel like I'm paying for people who do.
Why can't this be like an ala carte menu, and you choose ONLY what you want and pay for only what you want? I'd be thrilled if Verizon was set up with a sports package (which I could choose to NOT have), an arts and culture package, a family package, a package for shows that appeal to teens and 20-somethings, etc. so I could never have to see a sports channel or home shopping channel ever again.
But, of course, there should be a news package and a basic package and one of those must include THE WEATHER CHANNEL!!!
p.s. -one program that my Verizon does not carry and I wish it did - Grannys on Safari! I miss that show! Please consider adding it in - if you develop an ala carte menu system it can be part of the Travel Package! ❤️ ❤️
I agree with all the other comments. Please bring back the Weather Channel. AccuWeather is a joke. The content is not specific to my region. The Weather Channel and it's companion SD channel (can't remember the name) were great. I could get my local weather all the time. Now I see a screen that's half filled with forecasts for regions I could care less about. Hey Accu Weather who designed your screen. It's awful. Just another reason for me to cust the cord in December when my contract is up.
