I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !
Not only that but they do not cover any weather North of New York and I live in New England. This is really a bad decision by Verizon. I have to get my weather from Weather.com because accuweather is about as accurate as a pigeon in backwards flight.
So here we are again, under threat of severe weather - this time a hurricane coming straight up the Chesapeake Bay ala Hurricane Isabel - and no Weatherscan/Weather Channel to flip to for quick updates. Verizon, do you even give a **bleep**?? Or maybe your silence is all the answer we need.
BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL
Accuweather is really awful. Only talking heads walking in front of a map I can get from NOAA. No real time analysis of weather situations like hurricanes, winter storms and tornadoes. No people in the field. Only talking heads. No detail analysis of storms like tornadoes with Dr. Greg Forbes. It is really pathetic and it doesn't even show up in the channel line-up.
I want TWC back.
Bring back the Weather Channel. Accuweather is worthless. Nothing of value and it only repeats over and over.
Now that a big storm is coming I'm really annoyed that a company the size of Verizon couldn't negotiate a deal with the weather channel. Accuweather is a low-budget joke compared to TWC and I pay quite a lot in my FIOS preimium package to at least have parity with Cablevision. This is a competitive market and I'm happy to see if Cablevision will pay my early termination fee so that I can have service that I want. I see that many complain about this as well. You need better deal makers.

that would be nice wouldn't it? maybe a poll here on the forums or a small section of the return portion of our paper bill asking us if we would prefer x or y or both and/ or associated costs of each if they decide to keep x or y channel...or <God forbid> HOW BOUT ASKING US THRU THE MESSAGES SECTION RIGHT ON OUR TELEVISION?
i gotta agree with bobbo here when he says "You want storm coverage simply turn on your tv. Every single news outlet is covering it." ....does any one of you that miss the weather channel so much and assert that their coverage of local weather events could be a matter of life and death really expect me to believe that they, twc, have ever done a better job of covering any local weather event better than your own local network affiliate news teams have? isn't the real reason you cling to your assertion that you need the weather channel so badly really about verizon not giving a %%#$# about us customers, as usual, again and again getting no respect from them as to what we would like. ???? well then tell them so! there is a feedback link along side of this page , AND THERE ARE LINKS AT VERY BOTTOM OF PAGE THAT LEAD TO OTHER PAGES WITH CORPORATE BIG-WIGS CONTACT INFO ON THEM....GOOD LUCK, HERE'S SOME TISSUE

For a long time I have been upset with the actions as related with current shows, the removal of the Weather Chanel for one. It would not be as bad if the weather bug worked but if you need to have the current weather at real time like having the local weather radar working You are out of luck. As soon as a raindrop falls or the wind blows the thing does work.
I'm voting "Bring Back The Weather Channel" with my wallet. My contract's up and I'm cancelling Verizon FiOS today. Sorry to go, but I don't want to pay for a product that I'm not happy with. I'll be back if they bring back The Weather Channel.
When I told the Verizon representative why I was leaving, he told me: "Well, we got rid of that a while back."

Really Verizon?!!?!? You thing a one minute generic regional radar and some anchor telling us there is a hurricane on your AccuWeather Channel is an adequate substitute for the live in-depth coverage from The Weather Channel. When are you going to bring back The Weather Channel?
After the hurricane this past weekend, and the problems in the carolina's I just have to say one thing. Compared to the coverage on The Weather Channel, accu-weather sucks!!!

I HATE ACCUWEATHER. While the Weather Channel actually provides CURRENT information by areas on EMERGENCY WEATHER SITUATIONS, Accuweather simply la, la, la, la, la goes on its merry way with its European weather reports or its little stick figure weather symbols repeating the same info over and over to ad nauseum. Its a web weather service that can't provide good television coverage. I hate you VERIZON for stealing this from us. I really do and if i find a better deal I will change providers.
Is there any chance of The Weather Channel being included in the basic FIOS TV channels? AccuWeather is not very helpful. There is too long a wait before the weather for my local area is shown. And it is too brief. It is not very helpful.
Accuweather a complete waste....I get local weather from local stations much more quickly......the original Weather Channel much more interesting and informative,,locally and worldwide......would consider paying fee for access on Fios,, if available.....don,t understand why it isn,t available.....Bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
