I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !
We need the Weather Cannel back! The AcuWeather channel is JUNK! My sister from Pennsylvania calls me to tell me of our flooding in Ellicott City before I knew about it. She swa on the Weather channel. I go to Acuweather and they taling Virgina stuff and so on. Noting on bad floods!!!! Get Weather Channel back!! We pay so much for this service you think we would have top working channels isntead of free to you the Acuweather junk. Does say anything and not talk about our area ecept for side screen for a second showing same every week. Duh!
Maybe there's still hope, as TWC was recently acquired by Entertainment Studios, and Fios carries 7 of their channels.

I have not been able to understand WHY in the world Verizon would ever replace The Weather Channel with Accuweather. That program is absolutely horrible. Worst decision ever made!!! By far The Weather Channel gives the best information for citizens to be prepared during weather events. They are out in the field making reports that is vital to the safety of everyone. Boo Verizon. That move was about as good as your customer service department after calling 6 times to rectify a problem from March in a timely fashion. Only to be told that it is some sort of computer clinch that mysteriously cancels the request at the end. Must be a conspiracy theory ploy to get more money out of you when you wish to cancel movie channels. SMH TIME TO SWITCH PROVIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Accuweather is sooooooo boring. Showing the radar for a 1/2 hour now while every other channel has a reporter on site near Hurricane Florence. I was at my friends house last night watching the Weather Channel ! Soooooooooo much better !
They are pro’s ! Verizon Fios, your are weak and don’t have a clue how to run a company as a television provider. Stick to phones. High def channels are still in the 500’s and up. Wow. With today’s technology. Really. You don’t know how to have a customer put on channel 5 and get high def. you still have to go to 505 on Verizon.
Every other provider you go to channel 5. You get hd on 5. Verizon. Switches you to 505. So hard to remember the channels on Verizon. The old timers don’t have a chance. My parents switched to Fios. They call me every day !!!! With questions. They hate it. FINAL WORD. VERIZON BRING BACK THE WEATHER CHANNEL AND MAKE FIOS EASIER TO USE ! PLEASE ! Suggestion. Get rid of accuweather and just lower my bill, Because accuweather channel is just plain bad. End of story.
I cannot believed Verizon had the nerve to cut The Weather Channel and replace it with this joke of a channel Accuweather. Accuweather’s production quality and quality of the Valium-esque meteorologists pales in comparison to TWC. BRING THEM BACK!! What are you going to cut next? ESPN? People also look at sports on the internet, so why not cut ESPN, too? (Sarcasm, don’t really do it)
Totally agree! Accuweather is the WORST!! This one older white meteorologist is like a walking Valium. SOOO boring! Local news meteorologists are 1000X better than this dude. Unbelievable that Verizon thinks they could replace The Weather Channel with this garbage.

Verizon used to carry the Weather Channel. It's a great channel with lot's of different topics not just some weatherman droning on about the weather. I would like to see it returned to Fios.
Why doesnt the channel show up in the viewing guide buy it works by entering 611 in the remote?
I was scrolling around the channels the other day and saw the Weather Channel logo. I clicked on it and the channel appeared. I am amazed - did not think I would see it again. Never liked the AccuWeather Channel. Thank you Verizon!
I am **bleep** that Verizon has chosen not to renew their agreement with the Weather Channel. They were more than just a weather forecasting channel and just the same the people they had on that channel were another reason to like the channel. I am **bleep**. COMCAST? ARE YOU OUT THERE? DO YOU HAVE THE WEATHER CHANNEL? I'LL BE CALLING.
Comcast does have both the Weather Channel and Weatherscan. For the time being, anyway. I hope they offer their service online - then I can just get rid of pay TV altogether.
I'm all about making a profit but there are times when the accounting department shouldn’t run the business. Please bring back the real weather and save Accuweather for the phone apps.

PLEASE DON'T GET RID OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL. This is one of the most important channels watched, especially for Florida with it's tornados and hurricanes!!!! I don't know who in your organization thought to get rid of TWC but they need to stop the decision!! DON"T GET RID OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL!!!
I am also very upset about this. We check Weatherscan (part of TWC package) every morning to determine what the weather will be that day and current temp. More importantly, this is a PUBLIC SAFETY issue. People rely on the radar to show upcoming severe weather approaching and for t-storm, tornado warnings etc. During the recent snowstorm, the radar was extremely valuable in knowing when the storm would be clearing us so we could go out, clear out driveway, etc. There is NO substitute for live radar anywhere else (insufficient on computer, phone app etc). I am so upset and plan to post my complaints everywhere!!
I just saw my email that Verizon is dropping the Weather Channel! why would they do that!
