I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !

Accuweather is terrible. It is not interactive, you can't go to your local forecast ,or check the radar in your area very disappointed

We were shocked to not see the Weather Channel on our service today.

We have been super-pleased with Fios since we got it, and this is really the first TV transgression. Please do what you have to do to bring back this service, as we pay alot for the TV side, and do think it should be reinstated with no delay.

You've made your point.

Look how many people registered today just to make a comment. WOW!.

Really Verizon? Remove the The Weather Channel? This is just the beginning of what is to come. Content makers and Service providers scooping up each other creates these situations (Weather Channel is owned by NBC, which is owned by Comcast). It is like the car companies buying out the oil companies.

Unbeleivable. I know these giants are not out to for the consumer.

Verizon Fios channels keep being dropped, but Verizon bills never drop. No Weather Channel, no change in charges= No more Fios for this household.

I am extremely displeased with Verizon's decision to drop one of the most beneficial channels on TV - The Weather Channel.  The replacement station is a total joke.   We are now reviewing other TV carriers and most likely will be dropping Verizon.  Just another very poor decision by Verizon management.  Foolish.

I'm simply stunned that Verizon had the audacity to pull the plug on the Weather Channel without any fair warning. The Weather Channel is a primary channel in our household and is constantly running in the background. The channel is not just for providing weather, which they most certainly do better than any other network in the industry, but also weather-based content. The hubris involved with assuming Verizon can simply substitute one channel for another without customers caring is astounding in this day and age. Back to Optimum we go with our $300/month bundled package ...

Forgot to mention the fabulous new AccuWeather channel stream has been de-pixelating and sputtering since I turned it early this morning ... no issues with any other stations. So that's just some added insult to injury ... unbelievable.

I am so angry I could spit! If I hadn't just got into a new contract I would drop them immediately. I count on the weather channel and I also enjoy their programing and I trust the meteorologists they have. This is dirty and underhanded.

Flawed thinking by verizon that accu-weather is better. Shows execs live in a bubble. Reporting on accu-weather is sub-par..just like verizon is becoming.

It was a mistake to remove The Weather Channel, one of my few favorite channels.  Accu-Weather is awful. Sorry, but goodbye Verizon.

Not all of us "access weather information not only from a variety of online sources and apps" or care to use widgets. Verizon should be embarrassed, not pleased to drop these channels! Just because the snow is over for the season doesn't mean our desire to know what's happening meteorologically locally or nationally goes away ... grrrr !!!

Bring back the Weather Channel and especially Weather Scan!  After recently renewing my agreement, I feel angy and cheated - especially after reading the email sent out "explaining" the change.

Very bad decision not to renew contract with the weather channel.  Channel 119, now accuweather, has a terrible audio sound and the lip movement does not match the sound, and sometimes freezes and skips.  Weatherbug is so outdated it's ridiculous.  Have to press thrre times to get radar and hourly updates.  It's 2015 not 1990.  Bring back the weather channel and weatherscan.  You charge subscribers enough to warrant continuing the contract with the weather channel.

I'm watching AccuWeather Channel right now and this is like watching the amateur hour.

Nice of Verizon to spring this on the subscriber community without prior notice.  This is ridiculous.

Bring back The Weather Channel!

I have grown up with the weather channel, and after two  inutes of accuweather this afternoon, I was ill watching the poor graphics and non local information. I am appalled that Verizon chose this underhanded route to get rid of programming we have contracted for.  This is a sad day in programming, call your Verizon and let them know how you feel!

Leave it to Verizon to drop one of the most fundamental channels on cable television. What exactly was going through their minds when they did this? TWC may not be a number one station, but when you compare it to the other garbage that clogs our guides, this choice is shocking.

Big mistake Verizion.

REALLY bad idea.  Accuweather doesn't come close!  Moreover, my elderly mother does not have a smart phone and doesn't want one.  She always depended on the Weather Channel's "local weather on the 8s" and she is really upset. There are MILLIONS of elderly people out there that will disagree that "YOUR PHONE IS BETTER AT WEATHER THAN ANY TV."   She wants me to find out if Comcast carries the Weather Channel.

I can't beleive that FIOS is dropping the Weather Channel!  The Weather Channel is the best weather provider.  Accuweather is not accurate.  I had deleted the App from my phone b/c it was not reliable.  Weather Bug is not a viable solution either.  If I want to look at Weather Bug I will look on my phone.  The programming on the other channels does not compart to the Weather Channel. Fios should rethink this decision!

I'm greatly disappointed by Verizon's decision to drop the Weather Channel. That pushes me one step closer to dropping TV altogether. Operators like Verizon are loosing market share every day, and soon "cable TV" will be an anachronism like rabbit ears. It's bone headed decisions like this that will on hasten their demise.

Please reinstate the weather channel, the substitute channel is awful and offers no real value. Comcast carries the Weather Channel, so I'm sure you will be losing customers..
