I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !

What group of marketing geniuses decided this one. Stupid choice! I pay quite a bit for this crap now. The Weather Channel plays an important part in our weather awareness and they have helped millions in hurricane, tornados and other weather situations and you **bleep** pull them. WHOA! Can't wait to see who they fire over this move. I would start with the CEO and the Board of Directors! Never expected this from a company this size. Must be hiring some young inexperienced college grads trying to make a name for themselves. Foolish move replacing the Weather Channel with a silly TV app. Time for a management change!

I just got a fax and phone number for Verizon Corporate Executive offices. It works-I faxed over my letter about them dropping TWC.

Your decision to replace the Weather Channel with this new non -thinking persons channel is insulting. There are other DVR HD and internet options available that do carry the Weather Channel. You will be losing business over this poor decision!

As a long time Verizon customer I am highly disappointed that someone made the decision to drop The Weather Channel without warning. I am seriously considering find a provider that carries the programming that I like. AccuWeather is a joke. I will not watch that channel. It's cheap and I am discusted at the prices that I am being charged. So long Verizon.

The new AccuWeather channel is like watching a web page. Dropping TWC overnight is a pretty lame move Verizon.

So disappointed in Verizon with this abrupt change. Why so little notice? I have an HD box and unable to get any sound from the Accuweather channel. Accuweather does totally computer generated weather forecasting. I'm sure Verizon is saving a bundle with dumping TWC.

I am not a happy FiOS customer... If Verizon would pull the call from when I switched to them from Comcast they will hear me specifically ask about The Weather Channel... then without warning (no, i didn't get an email).. they removed it and added this crapy AccuWeather. 10+ year routine gone...
Guess what, Comcast is willing to give me a gift card too if I switch backto them... really really thinking about going back... better internet and TWC!!

I am glad Verizon just let me know my two year renewal is coming up, with an increase, because I now know that it is time to switch services! The weather channel isn't some little known local cable station that no one watches! I watch it everyday and can't believe I turned on my TV to watch it and found a poor representation of a weather channel called accuweather...HA you can't be on it for a minute with out being annoyed by its poor quality sound and lack luster information!
Good-bye Verizon

I was very very disappointed to turn on the tv this morning and see TWC and weatherscan gone. I am a painter and rely on weatherscan daily. There are a couple shows that we like as well. Accuweather is sub par, the audio is terrible, it does not touch on the area where I live. I thought verizon was a top notch provider, I guess I was wrong. It will be the deal breaker in changing our provider. Bring it back.

The weather channel has many programs other than weather updates. It is one of my favorite channels. Maybe enough to go back to comcast. Please see what you can do to bring it back.

Your programming/finance departments have really missed the boat with this one.
I just purchased a new and more expensive package with FIOS and now you have removed one of the most important and LOVED channels. If this is only to save money, get rid of the stuff no one watches, like the Golf Channel or the Tennis Channel. Really, apologies to the employees at Accu-Weather, but the product they put on the air is atrocious. I believe that I am due a reduced monthly rate if I don't have the weather channel or the weather scan channel. And more importantly I am due an apology for this screw up.

The Weather Channel is a staple in many homes like mine. You get the weather, a little news and professional reporting. Good background noise while getting ready for work. Verizon doesn't care about what their customers actually WANT to watch. If they don't listen to all of the complaints and restore this channel I will be switching back to cable and I hope many others do the same.

And also, I never received the email you supposedly sent out to all your customers about your ridiculous decision to yank the Weather Channel from us.

I am EXTREMELY upset with the cancellation of The Weather Channel. I feel this is unacceptable. It is the only channel that I turn to and trust during bad storms and weather. I have come to know all the weather people. Bad Form Verizon!

As a 26 year veteran and captain for a major commercial airline, I am greatly disappointed and mystified that Verizon has dropped this very important source of weather. I don't know any airline pilot who doesn't watch the weather channel before heading out on a trip. Accu-weather won't cut it. I hope Verizon realizes their mistake and reinstates the weather channel soon or I will be dropping Verizon!

Accuweather seems to be a poor immitation of the weather channel. I now do not have local weather as readily available and the detail that Accuweather has is subpar. I recommend brining back the weather channel otherwise customers may leave.

FIOS is a premium service, yet has only one weather channel, which is now Accu Weather. This is a terrible substitute. Why do we have way too may sports channel which I do not view, and cannot have access to the best weather service - The Weather Channel! FIOS customers pay a premium price for their service and expect the best content in return. The Weather Channel has been a staple of many subscribers for decades. Why deny this service to FIOS customers who are supposed to be the most discerning and loyal viewers? I will no longer recommend FIOS to anyone, unless this issue is resolved. This demostrates a disregard of Verizon management to the needs of their customers. And the way it was done was deplorable - a last minute email with no prior warning.
FIOS - get your act together and think about your customers!

I am no longer receiving the Weather Channel, I am so disappointed in this change. the new Accu Weather is horrible, it is very cheaply broadcast. It is statically and the delayed speech is annoying, this looks as someone wanted to cut cost, and it sure does show. Accu Weather is only good for a phone app, and not for broadcasting. I renewed my contract with the line up with the Weather Channel and now i am paying for this horrible Weather Station. I am considering on getting rid of Fios now and going with Apple TV or Roku. It seems as though when something is good, it gets taken away. Verizon customers should have been asked to vote on what they would like to have. But no this is another way to fill the pockets of Corporate Greed and take take from their customers with this mediocre weather station. I cannot stand to watch these anchors and the distortion. I want a credit to my account for this interuption. What a big mistake on Verizon part.
