I hate AccuWeather.......how come customers did not have a choice or a vote to keep The Weather Channel???? AccuWeather stinks, there are no REAL stories nor do the show any weather people out in the field......this is the worst, I watch the weather channel everyday. I might just think about changing my service to someone who has The Weather Channel!!! I hate this.....ugh !
My contract is up soon. I thnk its time to give my business to another provider. This just sucks. BAD MOVE VERIZON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im with you guys. Im jumping ship. I WANT MY WEATHER CHAMMEL BACK. My contract is up soon. I will be moving on.
you guys complete blew it. Your service is full stupid channel that you waste money on that no one cares about, but you drop one of he most important ones in the entire line up.

Verizon....seriously, bad move. Not everyone is a 20-something glued to their smartphone. I actually sometimes enjoy TWC's non-weather programming - Prospectors and Highway Thru Hell just to name two. I was shocked at Accuweather when I turned on 619 looking for TWC...Accuweather looked like a high school weather station. Y'all give me dozens, if not hundreds, of useless channels I never watch - think QVC, HSN, RecipeTV, GSN, Pivot, Pop, 1 America, YES, BTN, NHL, SEC...shall I go on?

Who was the **bleep** at Verizon who signed off on removing TWC. Bring it back now! You are making it so easy for me to move somewhere else at contract renewal time. I used to love FIOS. Now I am beginning to hate it. This has to be a PR disaster. VZ can turn it around if you listen to the overwhelming voice of your customers and bring TWC back NOW.
I too am very very upset about the surprise loss of the Weather Channel. Accu weather is a sad, sad replacement. I am seriously thinking of leaving Verizon. Maybe they will see that they made a mistake and get the Weather Channel back. Until then, I will never turn channel 119 on again!
OMG! Very bad decision to remove the local weather channel 49. I know I can go to channels 119 or 619 but that is a national forecast and takes forever for it to come up with weather for our local Dallas, Denton, Lewisville area. We "NEED" a channel to provide the local weather and radar scan to know if we are in danger locally. We might not always be watching a channel that provides a break in if there is a local weather advisory. In any case, just pay them what they want and get the local weather scan back on. Include it in one of your pay products if necessary. I'd personally pay an extra $3.00 a month to have this important service. Now my nerves will be shot every time a cloud comes up, not knowing if a storm is on the way. Lord, you folks have ruined my day!

I thought the weather channel was a shadow of it's old self. I have no problem with it being replaced.
We've been a FIOS customer since the first day it became available in our area and spend $200 plus a month on our service. While other family members make use of many of the TV features I do three things: watch Ravens football, watch the evening news and MAKE GREAT USE OF WEATHESCAN on channel 49. IMHO the accuweather being provided on 619 is virtually useless for so many reasons there isn't enough space here to list them all.
We've been relatively pleased with our FIOS service until now but for you to make this change in this manner with the sketchy explanation provided is, again IMHO, beneath the corporate image of Verizon.
I've just become aware that our contrac is due for renewal soon and, to be honest, for the first time I'm going to have to think about whether that's in my best interest.
I have no issues with you not renewing weather channel, especially since the programming has been going downhill fast (Al Roker, Sam Champion, Fat Men in the Woods, those gem diggers- all of it sucks!!!!).
However, Accuweather's format is unimaginative and rather annoying. Why dis you also take WeatherNation away recently. We need a better Weather Channel replacement- but keep Weather Channel off the air!!!!

I could not believe my eyes this morning when I tried to tune to TWC and the local TWC report. Where else can ou get unbiased news and information to be prepared for your day? An what a lame fascimile they put in it's place, AccuWeather? You just put me back 20 years.

PLEASE Bring back the weather channel. I watch channel 619 everymorning to get with my morning coffee. I own a landscape business and its crucial for me to see what's going on with the weather especially in the winter with snowstorms and the weather channels coverage is the best bar none. This morning when i turned on 619 i thought it was a joke when the accuweather thing was on but guess the joke is on any verizon customer that actually uses/needs this channel.The accuweather version is glitchy barely shows are area no long therm forecast. So poorly made that one would thing elemantary kids produce it. Leave it up to someone guy that doesn't probably ever go outside and care what the weather is like. Also theres about 90% of channels i don't watch but it's not like we don't have to pay for what we don't want. Just bring back the weather channel.
