Unable to Block Number

When I try to block a number under "Block calls and messages" I get the error "We are unable to block (number) on this device(s): (my phone number)". But I get the same error with my phone number no matter what phone number on my account I'm trying to block it on. I get the error in the MyVerizon App and on the website.
I just spent an hour texting (though I said I wanted communication via email) with support for them to just continuously tell me how to block the number doing all the steps I was doing even though I kept telling them I was getting the error. I've blocked numbers before and I know you're only allowed 5 but to my knowledge I have 0 blocked but the app and website don't show me any blocked numbers or even the history of blocked numbers like the support video claims. I told support all this and said it seemed like an IT backend issue for them to say they understood and send me the instructions on how to block the number again all the same steps they sent before that I had been doing before I contacted them.
So am I crazy that I can't block the number I want? I've blocked it before for the 90 days without issue.

You're not alone. My blocked list isn't even showing up. When I try adding a fifth number to test it, all of the content in the middle of the page just disappears altogether. I've tried accessing the Blocks page through desktop PC and mobile and MyVerizon app. The entire blocking feature seems to be bugged out for the moment. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this.

I know that it is important to be able to manage blocked numbers for your devices, mtbr54. I am sorry to learn that you're getting an error message when trying to do this both online via My Verizon, and via the My Verizon app. Additionally, it is concerning that you were not able to receive the support you needed, and I am here to turn this around. I’m having the same issue. I’ve had 2 numbers blocked on one of our devices through my Verizon for about 5 months and they do not show up anymore. I know the blocks expire and need to be reapplied periodically but when I go through the usual steps to block them I get that same message: "We are unable to block (number) on this device(s): (my phone number)" no matter which device I select. Also seems there’s been some rearranging on both the app and the website recently so everything has been more difficult to find too. I just want to make sure these numbers are in fact blocked- super frustrating!

What about blocking the numbers via the phone app on the devices themselves? If you also have them blocked directly on the devices, maybe it's causing a conflict with the MVA blocking feature.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thanks, but unfortunately those are the steps I’ve been following and still get the error message I mentioned. I’ve also blocked the numbers directly on the device but being my child’s phone, I want to make sure there are no accidents and they can’t be unblocked by my child. Yes I’m aware I can also use parental controls through screen time to control contact editing but I don’t want to limit that for my child so it’s really inconvenient not being able to use the services I pay for in the way they should work. This seems to be a website functionality issue and not user error, and the only responses I and others are getting are to follow the same steps we have been.

I'm having the same problem trying to block a number on my daughter's phone - it says "unable to block xxxx number on this device - then it lists the main number on the account (not my daughter's number) I tested it with different phones and different numbers and get the same error message each time.
Has anybody gotten any help other than the suggestion to follow their procedure which we all are - and it doesn't work??
